How many ants are there in a colony?

The bigger the colony, the more the ants. A single colony can have one hundred to a million ants. Some species of ants are very social, while some like to keep themselves isolated. 

For example, argentine ant colonies have about 10,000 ants, while carpenter ant colonies have around 3,000 ants. There are also super colonies where different ant species join together to create one massive colony. These supercolonies can house over a million ants, but they’re rare.

It is also important to remain consistent with the controlling methods. There will be times when you find fewer ants and times when you find more.
